We took the babies to their next physician appointment this past week. They’re growing, still, though at surprisingly different rates. Zoey, who was born over a pound smaller than Amaya, is now heavier than her younger sister. She’s finally over 7 pounds, and though they both seem rather large, now they’re in the range of what most babies look like when they’re born. In a lot of ways it’s nice, because all the clothes fit them and they can sit in swings and seats without getting swallowed up whole. Mostly, anyway.

We’re thrilled that they’ve gotten some more vaccinations, too, because they’ll be more mobile and can accompany us to all those wonderful places we go, like the grocery story, and BJs to stock up on diapers and wipes. I see lots of meeting new people in their future.
Things in our lives are pretty hectic right now. Linda is still recovering from the lingering side effects of the birthing process, and managed to get the flu on top of all that. The stress of finding child care within our budget has led us to make the decision that we’re not going to both be able to work. Linda has resigned from her position at Boehringer Ingelheim and has a couple more weeks to tie up all those loose ends. On top of all this, I’m swamped with a big data collection project at work and I’ve just been selected to be a juror in a trial that starts tomorrow and will probably run all week.
But we still get to spend quality time with Zoey and Amaya. There are some new pictures on the Gallery pages which you’re welcome to check out.
