Second Ultrasound
DUKE: We finally had a SCHEDULED ultrasound appointment today. This was at a newer office in Pennsylvania Hospital and the equipment was much more high-tech than our previous exam. We got five images of the babies, who are now being called Baby A and Baby B. Apparently this is a convention for multiples. Baby A is closest to the cervix, who will most surely be born first. Baby B will likely be born later. While we were watching the Ultrasound, Baby A was doing 360-degree flips. It was awesome.
LINDA: I’m frightened. I may be gestating Rosemary’s Cousin’s Half-Sister’s baby. Baby A was doing 360s in my womb. 360 DEGREE FLIPS!!! Jeez, what have all those chicken nuggets DONE to my babies?!? DAMN YOU MCDONALDS!!!! Baby B was cool, though. It was just mellow, no dramatic flourish like it’s sibling. That one’s going to be the cool twin…the chillaxer :D Nonetheless, the ultrasound was extremely neat. And we get one of these every month! How cool is that?
BUT, we did get to hear the two LOUD and STRONG heartbeats! Thank you Jesus! I guess there are definitely two little buggers in there after all! It was so easy to find them too! I wonder how big they are? I guess we’ll find out next Monday at the prenatal diagnostic screen. From the size of my tumtum, I’d say they are a nice length thus far.
